Jeep Is About To Change the Rock Crawling Wrangler

Jeep is finishing up touches on getting its 2018 Jeep Wrangler ready for production. The company is under a lot of pressure as it wants to keep loyal followers happy and wants to change as little as possible. On the other hand, innovation at any auto company is key, especially when it comes to creating off-roading SUVs. Without a doubt, engineers and designers are working hard to keep everyone happy.

Currently, there isn’t a lot of information about the next-generation Wrangler. It’s known as JL internally, and based on spy shots and revelations made by a few insiders, it’s going to be another great SUV. The Jeep Wrangler is going to show up at the Los Angeles Auto Show, and people in the industry are excited, and people who want to buy a new Wrangler are also sure to be excited.

The SUV is emblematic, and the company knows not too mess with the icon. The new model will feature a tall grille and have seven vertical slots, flared fenders, a rear-mounted spare tire and round headlights. The overall look and silhouette won’t change a lot. One big change is that the turn signals will move a bit –to the fenders from the grille. To improve the aerodynamics, the new Wrangler will have a more rakish windshield. At the back end, it will have new-look lights, which are mainly inspired by the ones in the Renegade.

To shed some weight, the hood and doors are going to be made of aluminum; this is according to a supplier memo that was leaked late last year. There is speculation that the Wrangler’s removable top might be changed greatly. It may have a series of individual panels, which will be removable. With that setup, owners will be able to go topless quickly, and it will be easy to store on board.

The 2018 Jeep Wrangler should come with a four-cylinder, along with options for a V-6 and diesel engine. There are also reports that Jeep will offer a hybrid version, which will get greater fuel efficiency, all without sacrificing off-roading ability. While there can be, and is, a lot of speculation, it’s pretty obvious that the company won’t make any huge changes. If you want to check out a current Jeep Wrangler, you should take one for a spin at Chapman Chrysler Jeep.

Jeep goes out of its way to make great off-roading vehicles that are fun to drive on and off the road. Whether you get a 2017 Jeep Wrangler or wait until a 2018 version comes out, you aren’t going to regret your decision. When looking at other off-roading machines, it’s obvious that Jeep creates vehicles that are truly above the rest. At the same time, over the years, the company has made changes, and it’s a technologically-advanced machine with plenty of bells-and-whistles. Sadly, the 2018 Jeep Wrangler won’t be ready for purchase till late 2017 or early 2018. Either way, no matter what Jeep you have, you are sure to be happy and enjoy it fully.
