2019 Cherokee is all Jeep

The 2019 Jeep Cherokee has gotten some stylish new upgrades and a whole host of good-looking new trims, but when it comes to handling, durability, versatility and performance the new Cherokee is all Jeep. The 2019 Jeep Cherokee was one of the stats of the North American International Auto Show which was held in Detroit. Not only do Americans love it, Canadians regularly purchase more than 250,000 units of the iconic automobile each year. This makes it a top seller in the intermediate SUV segment.

The 2019 model of the Jeep Cherokee comes equipped with a brand new global engine and features five trim levels. Plus, its available in 12 exterior colors and with five different wheel choices. Part of the reason for this is FCA Canada knows Canadian buyers really enjoy customizing their Jeep Cherokees. You can get any type of Jeep Cherokee you want at Chapman Chrysler Jeep. There are plenty of Jeep Cherokees to check out and take for a test drive.

The standard engine on the 2019 Jeep Cherokee is a new inline, turbocharged four-cylinder, 2.0-litre direct injection number with 270 horsepower which produces 295 pound/feet of torque. It works in tandem with a sweet nine-speed automatic transmission. Buyers of the 2019 Cherokee can also choose from two other engines. A 271 horsepower, 3.2-liter V6 engine that produces 239 pound/feet of torque. The second option is a 2.4 liter, inline four-cylinder engine that has 180 horsepower and delivers 170 pound/feet of torque. According to Jeep, properly equipped, the V6 can tow 4,500 pounds. That’s the best in its class.

The rear cargo bed on the 2019 Jeep Cherokee has a volume of 27 cubic feet, 8 centimeters more than before. Plus, buyers can choose from three different 4X4 for their off-road adventures. The 5 trims available on the new Cherokee are the Sport, North, Limited as well as the Overland models. They come with the all-new Jeep Active Drive I. Jeep engineers reduced the vehicle’s weight while enhancing the efficiency of its next-generation rear drive module. This fully automatic system delivers seamless operation at any speed whether in or out of four-wheel drive.

Jeep Active Drive II, available on the Cherokee Limited, North and Overland models, has a unique two-speed Power Transfer Unit with low range and torque management. Its 4-Low mode locks both the front and the rear drive shafts for towing or low-speed power. Low range creates a 2.92:1 gear reduction. This enhances climbing ability and crawl ratios for severe off-road conditions. The 2019 Jeep Cherokee also has Jeep Active Drive Lock. This combines the Jeep Active Drive II characteristics with a locking rear differential which provides superior low-speed traction helpful in severe off-road conditions. All Jeep Trailhawk models have Jeep Active Drive Lock.

Jeep’s Selec-Terrain traction control system is in all Cherokee 4×4. This offers optimum performance by choosing either the on-road or off-road setting. The system’s 5 customized settings are Auto, Sport, Snow, Rock and Sand/Mud. Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk models with the standard off-road package are all Trail Rated.
The “Trail Rated” badge indicates the Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk can handle all types of challenging off-road conditions.
