2013 Chrysler Town & Country Wins “Best Buy” Award

2013 Chrysler Town & Country

For 2013, Chrysler added upgrades to their top-selling minivan, Town & Country, which ultimately won them the Consumer Guide Automotive “Best Buy” Award for the minivan segment.  Consumer Guide Automotive does not only award a vehicle a “Best Buy” objectively, they also take dollar value into account.

Available at Chapman Chrysler Jeep, the 2013 Chrysler Town & Country is offered in four trim levels including Touring, S, Touring-L and Limited. The Touring model is entry-level and comes with 16-inch alloy wheels, automatic headlights, foglights, automatic wipers, power sliding doors and a power tailgate. Inside, a wide array of features are present including triple-zone automatic climate control, power-adjustable pedals, Stow ‘n Go second-row seats, cruise control, an auto-dimming rearview mirror and a back-up camera, just to name a few. Electronic features include a rear-seat DVD entertainment center, Bluetooth, rear-seat USB charging ports and a six-speaker CD sound system with a 6.5-inch touchscreen, satellite radio, a USB/iPod interface, an auxiliary audio jack and digital music storage.

The S trim level adds a few features to the Touring equipment, including a performance-tuned suspension, additional interior storage, and a rear seat entertainment system with an HDMI input, a DVD/Blu-Ray player and screens for the second and third rows.

The Touring-L also includes the features of the regular Touring equipment, but expands the list with rear parking sensors, auto-dimming outside mirrors, remote ignition, a power-adjustable front passenger seat, heated front seats and second- and third-row window shades.

The Limited model is top-of-the-line, adding power-folding sideview mirrors, keyless ignition/entry, upgraded leather upholstery, a heated steering wheel, heated second-row seats, Bluetooth audio, a navigation system, a nine-speaker premium audio system and the S model’s extra storage and entertainment system.

Under the hood, the 2013 Chrysler Town & Country is powered by a dominate 3.6-liter V6 engine that boasts 283 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. The engine drives the front wheels with a six-speed automatic transmission. EPA-estimated fuel economy is 17 mpg city/25 mpg highway and 20 mpg combined.

With safety weighing heavily on the minds of drivers, Chrysler gave the 2013 Town & Country a full suite of airbags, a standard backup camera with on-screen guides and an available blind-spot monitor with a cross-path alert function to notify the driver of approaching traffic when backing out of a parking space. Also included are antilock disc brakes, traction and stability control, active front head restraints.
